'LEP, a major shift in India's policy'

Assistant professor political science department Scottish church college Kolkata, Esita Sur described the Look East Policy (LEP) as a major shift in terms of India’s policy prioritization as it never had any concrete strategy to create an economic hub in the North Eastern region by exploring the trade and commerce prospects with its ASEAN neighbors.
She said this at the technical session of the two-day seminar under the theme: “The Dynamics of Look East Policy in North East: Problems and Prospects” organized by the department of political science St. Joseph’s college Jakhama.
