Do we need a king ?:

Globalization has one demerit. It neutralizes art and culture, language and literature, social ethics. There arises a thread to an identity a common, singular focal point where all the incident forces can converge into.

Threatened races and religions naturally hunts for a proto image in the society from where every one can listen to/follow. Can this place be taken by a money transmitter?

Can this be taken place by a capitalist who always put profits in his eye? Etc Etc., If any of these sit on the throne then the one can easily imagine the consequent scenario and fiasco.

Do we then require a king to safeguard a society or euphemistically put as “state”? By “state” the writer never means the provincial region assigned by any constitution.

Do we still require a written constitution which can be amended again and again to gain personal favor? Or do we require a chaotic bunch in which no one listens to no one?

To answer these questions we need a proper retrospective study of our surroundings and come to positive conclusion based on humanity, logic and conscience. What we conclude will be what our step for which ever directions we proceed.

We need some epitome in any form or say an image for all of us. To mention in business, a targeted money number is kept and business people head for that number, but in human society we cannot apply this method.

Most of the kings in yester centuries were assigned both supremacy and supreme divinity. Primarily because then, religion was more confined and non tolerant feature of mankind.

With the passage of time, erosions to the confinement has taken place leading in to the present widely used – Global Village? The barrier of boundary, religion, language and culture has been left apart. Do we still require a King then? The answer is – Yeah.

A king in present time can be the one who give solace to the wearied and the victims of “Unity in diversity”. He shall be the one whom we all can trust, rely on and loved as the relation of love is most everlasting.

By writing this the author never means to revive edicts like “Look the king and queen are to be on this attire and no one shall wear similar dress, no gal can have hair longer than that of the queen.”

It’s a common feature now the covenanted always extracts from his subordinates in a private company/consortium. This extraction is the height of inhuman tactics and is one factor that will intermingle many confusion. One confusion is : confusion between civilization and modernization.

In Meitei language King is called “Ning -Thou”. Some interprets that “Ning ngakpata touba ngamba”. Even the massive galaxy Milky Way rotates around an axis away from the point of singularity.

Will it be harmful to have such an axis for society or mankind by making the king as the central point? Throwing all the power to the king can lead a land where the character of the king rule rather than the collective character of the people.

Even though the boundary of a kingdom might have entrenched, but the factor for the need of king cannot be eliminated. Even the segments of a lost kingdom may be on the slicing table parleying with one another, whether privy pursed or not, the figure of axis can still stand even within the tempestuous and tumultuous present time.

He only can harmonize the divisions that have affected us all. He can neutralize all the differences that have crept in our minds. He can be someone who can soothe people (as the elected shunt) from the brutalities inflicted by “Unity in diversity”, and “Plutocracy in real form and democracy in name”. Such shall be the King (Iningthou) in modern never ending entrapping labyrinth.

Summary:

If a question : “Do you want a king or a kingdom? Is raised to me. I will answer: “I want both”.

Kingdom is not the geographical piece on this planet in which it is represented by a speck of color in an Atlas booklet. It can also mean the limitless domain where an axis is there keeping religion, language, class, account balance, car, credit card and superstition apart.

It may sound very idealistic in the above stated requirement of a king. How ever a position which a neo-king can occupy can be established by a collective accumulation from the masses to emancipate all the present and futuristic problems.
