The last few months have been hard for all us Manipuris, but despite the hardships, we have been significantly successful in showing the world about the grit and tenacity of our commitment towards the cause of Manipur.
The unity the sacrifice and well-controlled aggressions against human rights violations have been outstanding except for some minor aberrations, and I believe we have also started getting the much-deserved recognition from the national and international media.
BUT AT WHAT COST?
Do we always have to lay down our lives every time we want to express something, no matter how small or big the issues are?
Is killing or shooting the only solution to somebody having a different view to our thoughts? Though our acts of protests are outstanding, we can't deny the fact that the level of intolerance we have, even for our fellow Manipuris is no doubt no less outstanding if not more!
What kind of image the world will have when they come to know about this barbaric and inhuman act of killing each other. The whole issue of human rights violations that we have been so desperately trying to highlight will have no value if we keep on killing each other for such petty issues like "NOT GIIVING WAY" TO THOSE (WHO ARE ENTRUSTED TO TAKE CARE OF OUR SAFETY AND PEACE), AND TAKE SOMEBODY'S LIFE JUST TO SATISFY THEIR EGOES? AND IF WE KEEP ON DOING LIKE THIS we wont have any right to blame anybody, any forces armed or unarmed OF ANY HUMAN RIGHT VIOLATIONS AND ATROCITIES....
And in that case the whole movement will go down the drain.
ARE OUR LIVES REALLY THAT CHEAP AND VALUELESS? TO BE TAKEN AWAY AT WILL?
If things like this could happen in broad day light its not at all difficult to imagine what might and could have happened behind closed doors. Whoever and whatever you are after all we all are Manipuris and I believe that killing our own brothers and sisters is a MORTAL SIN which cannot be pardoned at any level of human civilization.
Lets realize that the value of our life is nothing less than any of those anywhere in the world, it's only us who are making our lives miserable, MISERABLE ENOUGH TO START LOOKING FOR COMFORT IN DEATH!
When governments in UK are being made and unmade on issues like fox hunting, we are busy killing each other (or is it hunting)?
Can we blame anyone for this, are we any better than any of those armed forces we always blame? I wonder how we would be behaving if we were in their position! Where are those kindness and tolerance we always showed at the time of crisis, or have we all forgotten the lessons taught by our forefathers on the virtue of tolerance and kindness.
Its high time we wake up and realize before its too late! leading to complete destruction of our society! and ULTIMATELY THE COMPLETE EXTINCTION OF THE MANIPURIS FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!
Lets not forget
"WITH GREAT POWER COME GREAT RESPONSILITIES AND IF THE POWERFUL ONES CANNOT ENDURE THE RESPONSIBILITIES, THE GREATNESS LIES IN RELINQUISHING THE POWER"
"LETS WAKE UP"
