Karnataka looks at reverse exodus

With normalcy returning to Bangalore and other cities of Karnataka, the state government and Northeastern residents who had stayed put throughout the traumatic mass exodus are looking at a reverse exodus of students and professionals from the Northeast to the state.
Manipur works minister Kh Ratan, who has been camping at Banglore for the past few days told Seven Sisters Post that efforts by government and civil society were on to create a conducive atmosphere to woo back those who had fled the state.
The minister, who had been m eeting various groups of people, representatives of different associations of Northeast people, said, “There is a sense of normalcy here and some people even have started coming.”
