KCP(MTF) in NIA custody at Guwahati
The Telegraph | Guwahati, March 26:
The NIA special court here today remanded two cadres of the Manipur-based Kangleipak Communist Party (Mobile Task Force) in the National Investigation Agency’s custody for 10 days.
The two accused, Y. Ingo Singh and S. Rajesh Singh, both self-styled corporals, were arrested by the NIA from Panitanki on the India-Nepal border, 45km from Siliguri, on March 23.
They were planning to cross the border and sneak into Nepal when a team from the agency’s Guwahati branch arrested them on the basis of a tip off. Another cadre, however, managed to give the sleuths the slip.
