Dear Sir
I am writing from a voluntary organisation called Pratham (www.pratham.org) working
towards universalisation of elementary education throughout the country. We have presence in 18 states of the country
including Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
Lase year we facilitated a country wide study Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) to assess the learning levels of children between the age group of 6-14 yr old. It was conducted in 485 districts across the country.
This study will be done every year till 2010. Even this year, the study will be carried out. Our aim is to cover all districts in all the 7 states of Noth East India. Process for the study for this year has already started and has to be completed by 15 November, 2006.
I would like to ask for people who has the expertise as well as interest to do a small film on this initiative for North East India. We being a voluntary organisation wont be able to pay for the service, however we will make sure that the travelling, accomodation as well as food allowance will be beared by Pratham.
If anyone is willing to take up this challenging task and know North East and its children better, then please get in touch with us.
Regards
Mutum Ashok
