Japan to invite 25 people from Manipur and Nagaland to visit country: Kenji

Japan’s Ambassador to India, Kenji Hiramatsu, who was on a state visit to Manipur to attend the 73rd anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Imphal (WWII), informed that the Japanese government would be inviting at least 25 persons from Manipur and Nagaland to visit Japan as part of the ‘people to people’ contact programme.
Stressing on the need to build stronger ties with states like Manipur and Nagaland, Hiramatsu also sought the cooperation of the people in finding out the places where bodies of the World War II soldiers were buried.
