Indigenous Peoples Must Stand United against Fascist move
01st October, 2018
Indigenous Peoples Must Stand United to Protect Ourselves to Fight against the Fascist move.
Youth Action Committee for Protection of Indigenous Peoples strongly decry the Issue of militarizing and suppressing the people of Manipur under the environment of AFSPA, 1958, as it appeared newly or recently in the recent incident of infamous mid night raid conducted by the government forces and the central government forces.
The suppression of the students of Manipur University is the suppression of the Indigenous people of Manipur by the fascist Government of India.
The misuse of power by the government of Manipur and Central against the university community by arresting and chasing them as like a terrorist is an act of Terrorism committed by the state against the unarmed students of the University. Giving fear and terror to the civilians is an act of Terrorist committed against the civilians and the students of the MU.
Both the States have decided not to withdraw the forces from the campus of the University which is a clear fascist move of the state. As “when Teachers, Writers, Advocates, Activists, Protestors and others are hunt down by the elected government in power then it is not emergency, it is Fascism at our door step!”.
We appeal to the people of Manipur to stay united and fight for justice and to protect the Indigenous Peoples of Manipur from such aggressive fascist move. We always should keep in mind that “The Peoples United Will Never Be Defeated”.
Yours sincerely,
(Mr. L Gulshan)
