Incentives for airline operators to operate in NE
The Telegraph | Roopak Goswami | Guwahati, March 17
The incentives include exemption from landing and parking charges, fuel throughput charges, route navigation facility charges, passenger service fees and any other charges levied by the Airports Authority of India. Airlines will be allowed to do ground-handling themselves during operations at these airports and the ministry of defence will also be encouraged to give similar concessions to these airlines.
The incentives are being made available at all airports in the Northeast except Guwahati and Bagdogra, all airports in Jammu and Kashmir except Jammu, all airports in Lakshwadeep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They will also be available at 43 other regional airports.
