Inauguration of 70th Anniversary Battle of Imphal (WWII)

The inauguration of the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary Battle of Imphal is scheduled for 23rd March 2014 at 4:00 PM, MFDC Auditorium, Imphal East.
Shri PC Lawmkunga will be the Chief Guest and His Excellency Takeshi Yagi, Ambassador of Japan to India, Shri RR Rashmi, Addl. Chief Secretary, Manipur, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Tourism), Manipur, Dr. RK Nimai, Commissioner (Arts & Culture), Manipur will be the Guest of Honour and Dr. Th Dhabali, President, Manipur Tourism Forum and Convenor of the function will be the President of the Inaugural Function.
His Excellency Takeshi Yagi, Ambassador of Japan to India will be arriving on 22nd March 2014 and will be departing for New Delhi on 24th March 2014. During his visit he will be attending the inaugural function of the 70th Anniversary Battle of Imphal as Guest of honour.
Representatives of Japan’s leading media will also be covering the Inaugural and other commemoration function of 70th Anniversary Battle of Imphal (WWII)
The 70th Anniversary Battle of Imphal is being organized by Manipur Tourism Forum and 2nd World War Imphal Campaign Foundation with the support of Government of Manipur.
