In Unison with Divinity
Dr Ranbir Laishram *
Standing on the rooftop,
One fine morning,
I saw the scenic beauty of the Baruni Hills,
One of the many abodes of Lord Shiva.
A crown of splendidly coloured clouds
Covered it's ranges and
Illuminated the shades of green below.
Sheltered in the midst of these greeneries.
There dwelt the Hall of Ivy,
A home for the sick and weary souls,
Where the life-savers toil day and night,
Making sacrifices for the greater good.
The spellbound beauty of the Hills,
The Hall of love and hope,
Both in sympathy,
Filled my heart with Divine presence,
A feeling of tranquillity,
A sense of belonging.
This is a place of refuge,
A blessing for me.
A salute to the great visionary
Whose intellect crafted this reality.
This majestic establishment.
A realization of the dreams
Of many a people.
May this organization blossom
To its full maturity,
For this is a centre
Where we all work relentlessly,
In the service of the humanity,
And service to humanity is service to God.
