TODAY -
Idle men's religion
Herojit Philem *
To an idol standing at temple's corner
Rag-tag and bobtail keep bag begging.
Barren, idle fellows sit fanning
Without working ask for remuration.
All fingers filled with rings
Believe in superstitions, not in their strength.
They tittle-tattle - 'God is dead'
When Kingly throne not given
Fight to get it, haven't they done?
Nay, deep slumber they did
Even rain drops' pattering sound
Were sweet music for them.
