Ibobi wants copter services in Manipur

Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has urged Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for introduction of helicopter services for better connectivity between the far-flung areas of Manipur, reliable sources said. He also requested the Union Home Minister to bear 75 per cent of the total expenditure of the helicopter service.
Earlier, several rounds of high level meetings were held to discuss the helicopter service as per follow up instructions from the Ministry of Home Affairs to the State Government on the feasibility of covering routes including Imphal-Tamenglong-Jiribam-Parbung-Churachandpur and Imphal-Moreh-Imphal-Dimapur.
