Ibobi urges UGs not to threaten pol parties

Amidst the militants’ unabated bomb attack at houses of Congress candidates and workers, Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh Monday urged the underground groups not to target to any of the political parties including his party Congress.
Addressing a Congress election rally held at Kakching of Thoubal district conducted under tight security, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said that undergrounds should not interfere to the people exercising their democratic rights and should allow them to exercise their adult franchise without any fear.
“Casting vote to a candidate of their choice is a fundamental right of the people in a democratic country or state. No force could suppress this right, Ibobi said, terming the ban impose on a particular political party as an unfortunate one.
