Human Rights Seminar at Pallel Addressing the Challenges Faced by Christian Minorities Vulnerability of Human Trafficking in the Context of Indo-Burma Highways
All India Christian Council is conducting one day seminar on human
rights at Pallel on May 17, 2014. Pallel falls on the Asian Highway
No. 1 and it is a strategic place as per as the connectivity between
India and Asian Nations.
Rt. Rev. Paothang Haokip, Deputy Moderator of Good Shepherd Community
Churches, Hyderabad will address the challenges faced by the Christian
minorities in the state and vulnerability of human trafficking in the
context of the Indo-Burma Highways.
Along with Bishop Paothang Haokip, Rev. Madhu Chandra, Regional
Secretary of All India Christian Council, Manipur Chapter, who is also
the founding member and spokesperson of North East Support Centre &
Helpline, New Delhi along with Ms. Heching Haokip, Secretary of Centre
for Women and Girls will be addressing the in seminar.
The Church and community leaders along with social workers of in and
around Pallel have been invited to participate the seminar. At Closing
of the seminar, there will be press conference. Therefore, I request
