There are only two types of people in this world who would complain about winter:- Men and Women.
Alright...Its freezing, cold and I don't want to miss to tell you that it's a beautiful day. Look at the sunshine and its beautiful streaks of colors on the clouded haze blue sky and the best part is the sunshine on my neighbors cute babies face......Get the warm clothes out and stay fit.
Put on the earpiece and turn on the radio. Radio ga ga FM 98.3.....and here I am going to take bath in cold water...it makes me nervous every morning when I have to take bath but then it makes me feel real energetic after the bath and that's how I am surviving this winter.
What about you? (The truth is I do not have a water heater which means I am poor. no no...Somebody said you will be blessed by Lord Burma if you take bath in cold and fresh water...LOL
Yes, I was telling you about the love story at Keishampat..... I was in a private hostel (P.G) meant for students from far places studying in the city from class 6 to 10. I was a big nasty student...Dumbo...who had already completed his B.E, the one who commands the Kids to do this and that... Well, I enjoyed the routine head massages done by the Kids everyday...LOL...
Actually, I came there to do some serious study but it turns out to be the other way round as usual. I used to come up to the terrace and sit by the sun every morning making business plans.
Out of a sudden, I saw her there sitting on the balcony by the sun in that beautiful morning with a book -the next building to my hostel. WOW...I guess she was studying... What do you expect a handsome boy do when he sees a girl right across 10 meters, actually nothing. And so I didn't do anything......
After a few days....
The first time, I made eye contacts with her; I thought she needs a company. She needs a love. Then the Morning saga continues. Everyday, I used to make funny noises to get her attention... Shhiiii...shhhiiiiii.sshhhhiii... And she looked back. I looked into her eyes and she looked into my eyes...and.. ....there begins the story...the love story. Yeah Baby !
I thought of many ways/possibilities to communicate with her as I can't directly speak to her. I knew that I am not doing right but in love, you don't care about anything, do you? So one day, I decided to speak to her.
I never had a good chance to talk to her even though I tried hard. There was this window in one of the hostel rooms and it was facing directly across her house...Whenever she comes upstairs, she will make some sound... Thaja mabu Mapu Panbarane....And then I will try to talk to her from the window and I was successful but I couldn't talk to her for long.
That was frustrating. And then it goes on...I remember she gave me a glass of hot tea and I must admit I really enjoyed drinking it... AND also the other day, I was having a slight cold and she got some Nongmankhabi... through the WINDOW..
And I use to sing-----
"Where were you when I was burn and broken, while the days slipped by from my WINDOW watching. Where were you when I was hurt and helpless- Pink Floyd"
I did a lot of thinking and finally I GOT a beautiful plan...
I used my electronics engineering skills and design 2 circuits/wireless devices –to communicate wireless on the low range 100 meter radio frequency....using diodes, capacitors, wires and 4 set of battery. I gave one piece to her and I used the other set...That was what they call a Transmitter'...and used the portable radio as the "receiver"...
You might think that was not possible, but it is. You may want to try out just for practical purpose. But beware of the Patrolling Police if they catch your transmitting frequency. Don't blame me. I have lost interest in it and I don't encourage you to do so except at the college Lab :)
So I turned on the radio. Tune to her frequency and she tuned to my operating frequency and that's how we communicate for the first time with much excitement. It goes like this-' I will come riding a white horse and come to pick you'...all the romantic talks in the evening...
Meanwhile the sweet voices of Roshibina swept pass the window on that beautiful evening when the Moon just opens her eye wide enough -..." Ngaoee Sonariba Meragi Tha, Shumhatlee Hainariba Magi Phajaba"...A love struck Romeo talking sweet nothings on the other side....I leave here to cut my story short for now... We didn't meet even once over a cup of tea, forget a date with her. We got separated. And it didn't work out... The fact that I am either a Casanova or a loser is left for you to decide...LOL but Life must go on...
Then I started listening to all sorts of psychedelic songs to get in touch with the deeper philosophical side of my being, trying to understand what I want in life and what I can do....etc etc...I prayed to God. I didn't want to waste anymore time doing nothing but I wanted to start my career as an IT professional.
Although my personal ambition was to become a hardcore electronics engineer or fly high in the sky like a superman but, as often happens, one pursues a professional career elsewhere. Someone said I should be optimistic and never give up hope... Then, I saw myself as a person for whom the glass is definitely 'half full' rather than 'half empty.'
That day in March...during the festive moods of Yoshang (Holi)...I had gone to the Manipur University at Canchipur (known for the Love stories ...Canchipurgi Kuckil, Remember?...) to attend the yearly function filled with varieties of amusements riding a scooter which makes funny sounds---phrrr...Phrrrr.
I wore formal attires that day just for fun. When I reached home, my Mom gave me a courier which was dispatched from my Company...I opened it and I couldn't believe my eyes...Within 6 days, I had to fly to Secunderabad...I met with an advocate and worked out for my joining formalities like bonds etc..Etc...
March 15th, I arrived in Secunderabad on a one way ticket. Almost a week after I moved into my flat and same day I went shopping for my household items! One could certainly state that I am now "living" in Secunderabad as an IT professional.
For the first time in my life...I had flown in the sky...throughout the journey. The Journey was good...I had flown by Air Sahara and Jet Airways and I was like...on seven clouds bossing like never before...The journey was indeed good as I was going for a reason... following a new track with new hope and new dreams....
Landed at Secunderabad airport, took a Taxi and went to PARADISE CIRCLE ...I booked a hotel room and took some rest. The next day I went to do a health check up as a formal practice before joining a Company.....What next? I have to find rooms...shop day-2-day household items. And lots more...I brought nothing from home. And I had to shop everything there...mattress, bedsheets...it was a tough Job but I learned everything...I don't need a wife. LOL
Secunderabad Rocks! You get a sharing auto rickshaw....You get lovely Hyderabadi Briyanis... It's a beautiful city.
No matter how many conversations we have and seen on TV/Movies, the true sense of the city can only be absorbed by coming to Secunderabad, walking the streets, talking to people and feeling the crackling energy that flows through Charminar, Husain Sagar Lake and Ameerpet ( that's where I stayed). It was a long ride there but it was worth every mile!
That life was incredible. One could describe it as, sort of, getting on a moving train !
Then I met this roommate of mine who was from some part of Andhra Pradesh and he was doing his coaching for IELTS...His cousin was operating a night club in the town. We used to smoke together everyday and discuss about different career aspects and PUBS.
He would wait for me to come back from work and we will smoke. The taste is different when you have a company. Really..? I think so. Just walking at the streets and watching people was another time pass. I started smoking just a week before after a long break and how soon I already found a company. :)
[**Warning- Smoking is Injurious to Health. It is just an the appetite for destruction A friend of mine said to me long back-- We are all dying slowly from the minute we are born but that does not mean we have to kill ourselves. Life is precious, cherish it. Your body is precious, do not abuse it. Do not poison it**]
It was going terrific...The world of professionalism. Neat dress, ironed formals, shinning shoes and what not? Unlike the torn out Jeans and the faded T shirt that goes with me wherever I go...Every weekend I need to do washing business and it was going great.
Not surely! The sweat of the hot humid weather makes my muscles project more strength than while driving on a fast lane at 70km/hr. You will like the city when you are at good times but you have to bear the heat, the sweat though :). This friend of mine got through the exam, got admission in one of the Universities in Australia and moved there...And he keeps sending me pics taken in Australia till today..... :)
I met a few college mates there and I used to stay at their place on the weekends...In the night, we will drive down to the Husain Sagar Lake and watch the Lake ...
I get to know many people, make new friends...smoke partners...celebrate birthdays in descent restaurants with the girl colleagues...watch movies ...
But after a few months of training, I have to go to Delhi ....5 of us got selected for a Project based at the Client site at Guragaon..Yes!
I came to the Bangalore office with a colleague of mine for about a week...and there....wait wait...Let me clear my throat..Ah! Hmmm... And there...I met this beautiful Princess, the love of my Life.....The love that will last forever...She is the one that I have been looking for since I was born...I went to look for her at Thangal Bazaar, Poana Bazaar..Mantri Pukhri..Moirang..And what not... Finally, after 23 years, I found her at Bangalore. And that's why I love this city. Bang Bangalore.... I will tell you how I met this charming Lady in Bangalore...
Here is the quote for you-
*IF YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT YOU WILL DIE FOR, THEN YOU HAVE FOUND SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR*
Merry Christmas to you all! Let the Bell of Wisdom ring and you be blessed this Christmas...And Happy New Year 2007...and I am going to buy a T-Shirt this weekend....:)
More in the future...
