How I grew up with this nature- 2
By: Devaraj Takhellambam *

Hey Buddies what's up there? Gone are the days let the bygone be gone.

I suddenly woke up and find myself sweating and my pillows half- wet with my sweat in the middle of the night The night lady still dancing in the shade of the moonlight.. It was a bad dream dreams just like real I was just dreaming Sometimes the dreams are hard to understand. Some times, it is difficult to share. And sometimes it isn't just fair to do so . And I console myself saying. It has changed now. It is a wonderful place to live...

I used to go for English tuitions specially TO learn to write love letter I can sing a love song like the way it means to me- Bon Jovi dude... This girl sits in the second bench and I on the last bench. In 1 hour's time, I used to steal 50 shots and 150 winks... ---Question Tag-> barking dogs seldom bite, does it? English class dude...

And my cool dude(Abraham) with another beauty of the class exchanging question papers. I remember the day when he asked her for some English question paper and she gave it to him. And he was like...Oh man...we are going to win...we want to win on nine clouds ON THE other hand, I had this little margah-less hero ranger cycle and used my legs/foot as brakes on the front wheel. I with 5 other dudes .zooming on the cycle towards wangkhei following my crush-of-the year ..we tried and invented so many innovative ideas just to fall for her .the rest is a story

Exams nearing and a lover boy trying to study .making up plans how to give the love letter to her Finally, got hold of a small kid near to her place. And asked him if he knows her .he said yes and also tells me that- she used to come out to fetch water everyday oh man JOB DONE. LOVE LETTER DELIVERED. I spend 5 bucks to buy some sweets for the boy but unfortunately there was no reply from her I was little disappointed. Our tuition also got over a helpless broken heart bleeding, drinking a lal-chai and discussing what to do next Dude, I still don't know if she has got the letter or not or if she has gotten it- did she ever know who gave the letter I can still remember her lovely smile- I guess I fall for her smile.

And I was also very romantic about it, building up dreams, riding on a bike, going out for a movie..so many beautiful plans but it all fades away...Dude, I am 5 feet 7 inch cool dude, fair and has a sharp feautured stand-alone models face- what the heck..she is making the biggest mistake in the history of mankind-I console myself.. I THINK that was the beginning of my love life journey.. I found out that she already had a boyfried, Probably a lucky one( it was shared by another friend of mine of mine who had spend half of his school time investigating about her he was another tabidaba lover, I guess all hopeless dudes. He used to tell me stories about chasing her and met with an accident and injured his legs I was lucky that I did't have any unfortunate incidents like that I heard that this dude got married and happily settled down with 2 kids and became a rich thikadar..nice pal.)

On the other sidemy profession was to act as a postman for my friend(Abraham). His lover/girl fren/prince/ whatever you call were very rich. She lives in a tall building with huge lined iron gates At the tuition place; there was no way we could ever give his love letter... Never mind, I talked about love letters all the time..thats the way it used to be during that time.. I as a postman went inside the gate and asked the lady inside if that was her house. On saying yes, I delivered the letter to her. (Saying I am a postman)- The funny part is the letter has unstamped stamp pasted on it.

Here we go. The next morning, the same lady whom I had given the letter came to our tuition place asking for my friend (to our teacher). This dude went out, met her and found out that she is her MOM. He was given lots of advice. Boy-you are still a kid. This is the time to study hard, blah

I didn't know what to do but to laugh out loud hearing the story

But we never gave up .it was raining the other day, and I again went inside the gate and shouted here name and ask her to come down- I think she lives in 3'rd floor. Finally she came down scarred, I saw in her eyes. I think we were overpowered . She was very scarred...coz we kept on shouting her name finally she took the letter after so many convincing words...like emmanabagi damagta khara khanbiyu nangshu..mana nagbu yamna nunshibani..nanga chithi ashi loudaragadi

Then exam comes singing unnani khana lakpani..unada hanba taredo.. laklammi haina tambiyuko..hanglammi haina haibiyuko..ngairammi haina tambiyuko .. -nungshira marup nangna (my sincere thanks to Kunja Bihari- I really love that song)

After school..though I didn't pass the 10'th exam with good marks, I managed to get admission in one of the schools in delhi Man, delhi is rocking from 2 degree Celsius to 45 degrees you freeze, you sweat, you dance. You do everything but you have to study so many talented dudes intelligent minds and even bad Guys. I had some serious health problems (pretending) and didn't quite like the college anymore .the temperature was horrible for me for the first time. I wanted to choose/get into another college but no choice than to go back home.....it was already late for me to find a college back home..I was terrible.. Atlas, after a hard and long hunting, finally I got a good college who understands and respects me as a student(deserving student).

Days fly by- you see so many beauties in college .look at the bees hovering around that beautiful rose... you have to face the bitter lapses and plug the flower, if you want it that was the saying. Aha..here again, this friend of mine- a very good and funny fren(Abraham)...who was with me in every stage of my life right from the unfortunate school days. He went to south India for his studies after school ....he comes home on a vacation with a guitar and had long curly hairs. I tell ya he was rocking man. He had just one song all the time...¡¨The Man who sold the World -Nirvana. I am sure he wanted to conquer and sell this whole world away...

He writes to me letters about joining the IIT and winning the title etc .Physics was my favourite subject. I can spend the whole night troubleshooting/solving a physics problem or thinking about the girl I like listening to some romantic songs Deep in the Night, when I am alone, My heart starts to burn coz I feel for you (Bon Fire)

to be continued...
