The Hon’ble Chief Minister is shocked to hear the demise of Mr. Xavier Rutsa, senior journalist, on 11th June, 2018. His condolence is as follows:
“I am shocked to learn that senior journalist Mr. Xavier Rutsa passed away early Monday morning. Mr. Rutsa was one of the senior journalists in the State and has an illustrious career and was Correspondent for Nagaland Post; a regular contributor to Eastern Panorama, and was presently the Kohima Correspondent of the Times of India. He was also President of the Kohima Press Club.
Being a keen sports enthusiast, he used to report extensively on local sporting events and also dedicated his free time towards various social activities. During the course of my many interactions with him over the years, I found him to be sincerely committed towards social causes and he was always positive in his approach towards public concerns. In his demise, the people of Nagaland have lost a towering media personality, a good friend and a simple, humble human being.
On behalf of the Government of Nagaland and on behalf of my family, I extend heartfelt condolences to all members of the bereaved family, the media fraternity and to all those who knew him. We pray that Almighty God will give you strength to bear this unbelievable loss.
May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.”
