Government appeals Southern Angami Youth Organisation to suspend NH blockade
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Jul 13 (NPN)
Commissioner Nagaland, Banuo Z. Jamir has appealed to Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) to suspend the ongoing blockade on humanitarian grounds and in the interest of the general public who were required to travel on the affected highways. In an appeal to SAYO, Banuo Z. Jamir said that SAYO’s grievances have been submitted to the state government for taking it up with the Manipur government.
Stating that bandh called by SAYO on vehicular traffic to and from Manipur as an expression of “discontentment” has been going on without any untoward incidents so far and that it would continue till July 14, the commissioner Nagaland however appealed SAYO to suspend the blockade so that ordinary citizens who were not connected to the incident were not put through a lot of hardship.
