God Rules Over All
Lunminthang Haokip *
The media hypes shine of the charmed circle;
Added idea binds the simple to marvel.
The 'talked about' elite may look glitzy;
But, rocked-about they are by needs frenzy!
Wise men think subtly to splurge on a roll;
Lies rend links to topple plans out of control.
We get bold thinking we know what we hold;
We get sold on sinking glow outside our fold.
We fret and scold; taking side with the world;
But, can't whet the soul's troll till we get old.
When in woe we sigh, we rue in our fall:
The Most High ruleth in the affairs of all.
The mind craves to pursue many desires;
The blind braves in issues folly aspires.
Yet, most of our fit deeds end up in grief;
The host of own misdeeds gives no relief.
One will do better to wake up and recall
That the will of the Creator rules over all.
Man thinks so naïve not to foresee sorrow;
Vain blinks can make life grave in the morrow.
It thrills the present to follow the heart;
It makes the soul resent to wallow in mirth.
To skip pain, it's wise to on His feet fall,
Deep gain's there in towing He who feeds all.
