Go Ahead
P. K. Deb *
Just forget what you are
And don't be afraid or sweated
As 'Fear and hesitation'-the two words
Are out of your private dictionary.
Feel the strength of your solid backbone
And be smart to go ahead----------
A flight of stairs leading to
Up above the sky of abundance
Is eagerly waiting for
The dust of your paternal shoes.
Maybe, the shoes are noisy
Or, the stairs are slippery,
Look, these are also covered
With the soft red carpet of good luck.
Hence, no hesitation---just go ahead,
The richness and beauty of the stairs
Are added by the smiling fairies waiting
On either sides of the steps
With beautiful flowers in their hands
To offer you --the unknown prince.
Be thankful always to the flowers
As the stench of your weaknesses
Are plastered by the fragrance of
The flowers that you are offered.
Don't be crippled or toddled
Many are to be trampled or digested
And don't look behind---
Your dearest, nearest
And well deserving are
Stopped forcibly from following you
Or competing with you.
The worthless emotion can be bloomed,
Slap on the petals of the emotion
To shade them as your hereditary soul
And be blissful in enjoying a got-up life
