GPRN/NSCN questions NSCN (I-M) over killing of Athong
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Jul 4 (NPN):
GPRN/NSCN has questioned NSCN (I-M) over the killing of ‘maj’ Athong Yimchunger, 2 i/c Sampur designated camp in Jessami (Manipur) and the subsequent clarification mitigating their “heartless action.”
In a statement, GPRN/NSCN MIP said NSCN (I-M) should think twice before pointing out stray incidence of killing because they “do not need any reminding of mass killings” carried out by them. Mass killing of NNC members at Hashik Village in 1980, public massacre of Lainung tribe and Khiumnugan tribe in 1983-84, Kuki massacre at Chalkok in August 1992 were few instances, MIP pointed out.
