Forest authority denies killing Royal Bengal tiger in Manipur

Manipur forest authority Saturday denied any instance of killing Royal Bengal Tiger in interior Manipur village bordering Nagaland. Recently, gory pictures of a slain Royal Bengal Tiger went viral on the social media. The big cat was reportedly hunted by villagers of a Manipur village at the border with Nagaland.
Manipur principal chief conservator of forest P N Prasad has denied the report of killing the big cat in Manipur. In an interview with a local cable network, Prasad said the photographs of killing of Royal Bengal Tiger, which were uploaded in social media, were the photographs of killing a tiger in Nagaland in 2015.
