Manipur polls: Five die in crossfire during booth capturing attempt

At least five people have reportedly died in poll-related violence in Chandel district in Manipur today. According to reports, violence took place when some people tried to capture a poll booth in the district. Those killed in the crossfire include three civilians, one Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and one attacker. Three more CRPF jawans were injured in the incident.
Violence was also reported from Tipaimukh constituency where some irate electors damaged an electronic voting machine at one polling booth. This led security personnel to open fire, but no one was injured.
