Fierce tale of Winter
Shahnaz Islam *
I bring your scent home tonight
Tucked into the folds of my odhni
Leaving my fragrance inside your heart
Emanating sweet nectar
A whirlwind in madness
Wild winds in the wilderness
Chimes of twinkling stars
Few burnt weeds
Chaos of dark woods
An evening of broken promises
Crafted in betrayals of our silence
Like a poem in unison
Memories galore
A budding bloom of spring
A lone falling leaf of autumn
And the breathes of warm summer
Into the cravings of December.
