Many students from northeastern states particularly Manipur are undergoing their graduate, postgraduate and higher studies in different parts of India. Parents are not hesitated to invest a huge amount of money for their children to send outside Manipur for getting better education. This system has been continuing since long time, as the situation of Manipur is not favorable for maintaining a good academic atmosphere. Even though there are so many colleges including some professional institutes in Manipur, parents are not satisfied with the prevailing education systems and always seek for getting admissions of their children outside the state. The trend has been continuing increasingly every year in spite of many slogans and lectures on quality education in Manipur, where there is no peace of mind, where almost everyday there is bandh and where there is no value of human life. "But life has to go and till we die we have to fight for the survival" is what the people of Manipur think against all odds. It is a good spirit and people from developed areas must appreciate it. In the course of going outside the state and getting admissions for general and professional studies many people used to get trap in the hands of fraudulent and fake universities. In order to avoid such incidents students and parents should be very careful to check the authenticity of the respective colleges and universities in India. For convenience, the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, publishes a list of many fake universities. One should notice the list carefully before taking their admissions. In addition to this list, there are many private colleges in the field of professional careers particularly in Bangalore and other southern cities of India where their recognition is self-styled. So dear students and parents -attention please! Be aware of these facts or fakes.
