The spreading of hate messages through internet, most of which originated in Pakistan, came down drastically after the Government of India launched a massive crackdown against it.
Highly placed sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) told The Assam Tribune that the Government has already blocked 309 sites, which were used for spreading hate messages , mostly by elements in Pakistan. Sources revealed that the social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter cooperated with the Government of India and there is no plan to block those sites.
