FIREBALL 2014 leaves Guwahati enthralled

Performances by Skyharbor from UK, Still Waters from Gangtok, Aberrant from Shillong and Jupiter Island from Guwahati

The city witnessed the sixth edition of FIREBALL; the most awaited rock and metal extravaganza of the north eastern region on Sunday evening. Organized by Roocka Rolla Events, leading event organizing and artist Management Company of northeast India and Castle Hill Events, the four-hour-long show enthralled the audience as live performances of Skyharbor from UK, Still Waters from Gangtok, Aberrant from Shillong and Jupiter Island from Guwahati set the Shilpagram stage on fire. The event is also supported by Café Hendrix – and powered by fastrack – move on.

Commenting on the sixth edition of FIREBALL, David Koch of Rocka Rolla Events and Artist Management said, “We are very happy with the successful completion of FIREBALL 2014. Rocka Rolla Events, from the day of its conception, has tried to surprise all rock and metal lovers by bringing the lead bands of the county and abroad. An event that not only showcases talents from the region but also from across the globe, Fireball draws the attention of the entire world and triggers in them the interest to explore more about the northeastern region. Such musical concerts bring people from across the world to this region and thus, pave the path for music and culture tourism in the region.

“Initiated by Rocka Rolla, the main focus of the event is to take up a relevant social cause and spread awareness for the same through music. ‘Join the Indian Armed Forces’, has been the motto of FIREBALL since the very beginning ’’, adds David.

The event also witnessed the lighting of around 500 candles by the audience as a tribute to Late Tariq Abdullah.
