Even your God will despise this : Nothing Christian about it

Going to town and crying out to the international community that their places of worship have been desecrated while at the same time cold bloodedly killing two innocent students and clearly their devilish agenda would not have gone missing on anyone.

Going to the international fora and getting it featured on the floor of the European Parliament was at best nothing but a carefully crafted ploy to embarass the BJP led Government and Delhi should take note of it.

Goes very much against the grain of ‘grieving over the dismantled places of worship’ and there was nothing Christianlike in executing two students, who had nothing to do with the ongoing clash between the Meiteis and the Kuki militants.

The killers did not stop at pumping in bullets into the bodies of the two hapless students, but even went to the extent of demonstrating their audacity in photographing them in the ‘Before’ and ‘After’ mode with the innocent eyes of Hijam Linthoingambi and Phijam Hemanjit piercing through and their lifeless bodies defining the ‘Before’ and ‘After’ frame.

The killers did not stop here but uploaded the same on the social media and herein lies the sadistic pleasure they derived from the killing.

Perfectly complementing the cold bloodedness of it all was the voice of opposition raised against the decision of the Government to hand over the kidnap and murder case of the two young students to the CBI and here is a case of a group of people who cried foul when some of their places of worship were destroyed but support the cold blooded killing of two totally innocent students.

Surely some elements know how to torment God, for here is a perfect example of using His name in pursuit of their murderous agenda.

The difference between ‘people with a conscience’ and those driven by ‘animalistic instinct’ is best illustrated by the fact that when news of the nude parade of two Kuki girls went viral, houses of the prime accused were dismantled by the irate people and sit-in-protests were held all over Imphal and the valley districts.

On the contrary not a single whimper of condemnation or grief have come from the Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum, Committee on Tribal Unity and Kuki Inpi, Manipur.

Rather what the world saw was the strong voice of protest raised against the very decision to hand over the case to the CBI to investigate and crack the case and nail the murderers.

It was a cold blooded murder. Hijam Linthoingambi and Phijam Hemanjit were not killed in a clash.

They were not killed by a mob which were on the rampage.

They were done to death systematically, with their pictures clicked in the ‘Before’ and ‘After’ mode and this is what has made the case all that more abhorrent.

More than 170 people have been killed on either side of the clash divide but the difference between being killed in a mob violence, during a clash and after being kept in their custody for days and their bodies made to vanish cannot be missed.

The cruelty in it all is blood curdling and significant to note too that such a cruel murder appears to have the backing of some section of the people if the protest against handing the case to the CBI is any indication.

This is what Manipur and her people should be aware of and keep this in mind when taking up any future course of action.

Not the first time that such a gruesome killing has come to the notice of the world and this will not be the last either if the figure of 23 missing as enumerated by the Co-ordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) is anything to go by.

The dead do not talk is the line the killers must have stuck to while carrying out the dastardly but with at least 6 suspects having been pulled up in the murder of the two young students, one hopes this is just the beginning and the bigger conspiracy of igniting the clash is laid bare in the days to come.

Maybe this would then blunt the slogan ‘Solution first, peace later.’
