One day seminar on 'Earth Day' on April 25, 2023 was organized by the Department of Botany, Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi.
In this seminar, Prof. Praveen Garg, Principal asked, what motherland is? Every person born in bharat loves this earth and considers it as mother. In fact, in our childhood, we have heard long stories from our grandparents about not exploiting the earth. He believed that we should take what we need from nature with folded hands. Everything has importance in life.
Many days associated with this importance are celebrated as special festivals. Along with this, livings and non livings have special importance in life in this universe. Due to the absence of any one, our life is also affected due to the deterioration of the balance on the earth. That's why we should use things frugally according to our needs and avoid their misuse.
Further, Honorable Gopal Arya ji, Akhil Bharatiya Sanyojak, Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi the chief speaker of this seminar told that, in fact we consider the earth as mother in our culture. But, what is the reason that today the importance of that mother has decreased. Where we praise Bharat Mata in the name of Sujalam Suflam Mataram in Vande Mataram song, we always remembers. How is Mother India's Ganga dirty there? How did the environment get polluted, why did it happen? Nowadays the number of hospitals is increasing day by day. The number of insane asylums is increasing. What really came first in the world?

Gopal ji continued that, Nature came first, then human. However, all the calamities that have come in this world, this is due to the imbalance of the environment due to human. Sometimes there was flood and sometimes there was no rain at all. Because, when the man living on this earth was imprisoned in the doors due to corona disease, suddenly the rivers became pure. The air became pure. The atmosphere became clear. What is the reason that we are forgetting our responsibilities? There are some works for which a human always has to remain dutiful.
What should we do to save nature? One of those tasks is that we sow the seed. Whatever we eat at home in the form of fruits and vegetables, grow them at home. Plant it in a pot and take care of it for a year. When it grows up, then plant those plants on any nearby land. It is not only necessary to plant the plant but also to take care of it. By doing this, we will not only purify the nature and environment. But also pave the way for future generations of human beings.
