ENPO sticks to its demand
The Telegraph | Kohima, June 13:
The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) is determined to continue with its demand for a separate state though the Centre has struck down its request for “Frontier Nagaland” comprising four districts in the eastern part of the state.
Sources claimed that Chidambaram had never ruled out “Frontier Nagaland” to ENPO during the meeting but the subsequent statement by the state government was misleading. Rio, including his cabinet ministers and government officials had claimed that the Centre was not in a position to grant “Frontier Nagaland”.
