ENNG opposes inclusion of TCL in territorial integration
Nagaland Post | Sumir Karmakar | Guwahati, Nov 16
Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) has declared its strong opposition to any attempt to include Tirap, Changlang and Longding (TCL) districts of Arunachal Pradesh in the territorial integration under the Framework Agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN (I-M). It also appealed to the Government of India and other international organisations not to endorse any demands made by the NSCN (I-M) in this regard.
In a statement issued by Media Cell of the organisation’s Ministry of Information & Publicity, ENNG said people of TCL districts had been kept in the dark about the Framework Agreement as much as the Nagas of Nagaland. It also added despite efforts by Tirap Changlang Longding People’s Forum (TCLPeF) to create a public consensus in the TCL districts on the Framework Agreement, the people had no knowledge about the agreement as its contents had been kept a well-guarded secret.
