Dwarf Turned into Colossal
Pijush Kanti Deb *
I dropped down from the sky
penetrating the black clouds
and fell in to the inquisitives eyes of the world.
A dwarf- ugly and good for nothing-
considered I was at the first sight,
every sun-rise and sun-set
projected only the backs of the world
to my dreamful eyes.
Nevertheless I witnessed my day one day
beginning from the early morning,
well featured by a hopeful beckoning
of the blissful eyes of my beloved
and I plunged into the depth of her eyes
and a dwarf turned into a colossal
in the magical hymn of love,
‘’I love you my king’’ her passionate words to me.
Very often I used to peep the criticizing world
hiding myself inside her lips,
the scolding and criticism were unfelt
and listened to the poems
composed by her in the name of love
well ascertained living in her comfortable heart
and remained unmindful to the babbling world.
