For documentary makers of the country, the Northeast has always been a perpetual source of ideas to work wonders with. Ideas that have helped them win accolades not all over the country and abroad. And haven’t they utilized this eternal supply of reel-friendly issues?
But other than depicting issues about the land, traditions and the people of the Northeast on the screens, one particular subject that has missed their lenses is musicians of the region. It’s not that there aren’t any, but yes, what must be admitted is that compared to other parts of the country, not to speak of the west, their numbers are either minimal or not noteworthy.
