Day 2 96-hr Southern Angami Youth Organization bandh peaceful
Nagaland Post | Kohima, Jul 12 (NPN)
Day two of the 96-hour bandh along NH-2 (earlier NH-39) called by Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) went off peacefully without reports of any untoward incidents Friday.
It may be mentioned that SAYO had called for the 96-hour road blockade for all Manipur bound vehicles in their jurisdiction protesting against the Manipur government’s inaction in apprehending the accused of the June 21 incident. It was learnt that Nagaland police had launched two operations along with its Manipur counterpart, as per the order (warrant) received from an Imphal court, to nab the culprits.
