Day 1 : Southern Angami Youth Organization’s 96-hr bandh peaceful; warns of action
Nagaland Post | Kohima, Jul 11 (NPN)(
Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) 96-hour bandh on the NH-2 (former NH-39) which began Wednesday passed off peacefully without any untoward incidents.
SAYO volunteers anticipating that Manipur bound vehicles might attempt to divert their route via Kezoma, placed volunteers deep inside SAYO jurisdiction at Kezoma and Kigwema instead of Phesama and Khuzama unlike Tuesday.
It was learnt that SAYO volunteers stopped the vehicles which attempted to cross its jurisdiction with no reports of confrontation. However, SAYO had warned that it would initiate stringent measures on Thursday if anyone violated the bandh.
