'Dasu Sardar' released in Cachar
The Book of Drama entitled 'Dasu Sardar' authored by Moirang College Principal Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh @ Oja Shamu which was released a few days back at Imphal has also been relaunched today the 24th December 2023 at Cachar.
The book relaunching function organized by the Naharol Writers Forum, Assam at the premises of the Sunrise Public High School Pailapul was attended by Natya Bhusan Yumnam Indrababu from Lakhipur as the chief guest, chairman of MALA Jiribam F. Ahmed as the special guest, ex-member of Manipuri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi New Delhi Thokchom Bishwanath Singh and Recipient of Late Kheiruddin Chowdhury Sahitya Award 2021 Tahir Sajabam from Singerbond as the honored guests.
The recipient of the Kamini Kumar Award Abdul Hamid Sajabam attended as the book reviewer and Naharol Writer’s forum Assam president Keinou Farooque Choudhury presided over. Social activist Smt. Kherun nesha also attended the function as the special invitee.

The book of Drama based on the supreme sacrifice of a Manipuri Muslim (Meitei-Pangal) family to protect the life of Jubraj Bir Tikendrajit Singh from arrest by the British on the eve of the Anglo Manipur War of 1891 focuses on creating the sense of patriotism and oneness amongst the youngsters of all communities, indicating the need of the hour to join hands together in protecting the integrity of Manipur and restoring the peaceful coexistence. The book is dedicated to those who sacrificed lives for the cause of Manipur.
The book release function was followed by a Poets’ Meet (Kavi Samelan) chaired by the eminent Poet Tahir Sajabam.
