Cry Of A Dying River...87
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that is in love with moody monsoon
If monsoon comes
Can rain be far behind
If rain comes
Can flash floods be far behind
If rain rains incessantly
Can natural floods be far behind
If floods come
Can people's woes and worries be far behind!!!
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that echoes public sentiments doing the round
If floods continue unabated
Can 'money ' be far behind
If people are inundated
Can 'blame-games ' be far behind
The river that have heard/seen the same old story
Time and time again over the decades
Oh Ibudhou Wangbren! Let there be monsoon rain
Let people be not deluged!!!
