Cry Of A Dying River...36
Rajendra Kshetri *
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that is not schooled in the 'modern' schools
Schools that fed/feed man informations
Informations bereft of ethical values
Informations sans imaginations and visions
Schools that promote parroting the pupils
Schools that inhibit creative thinking
The river that is allergic to the four-walled class(es)
Conducted by the uninspiring non-teaching teachers
No wonder 'modern' man keeps throwing garbage in the river.
I am no longer the river I was once
The river that has been shaped and fashioned
On and along the environmental values
Values of preserving conserving water bodies and wetlands
Values of planting protecting trees
Values of safeguarding flora and fauna
The river that learns from grandma's parables
The moral ethics no longer taught in 'modern' schools
The river that is schooled in the old school
The old school of man in sync with nature.
