The general assembly also reiterated the August 30, 2023 statement of TSA branches on the now five-month-long and continuing Manipur violence, condemning the violence and calling for justice to all the victims and for non-violent, peaceful and permanent solutions to the problems besieging the state, while highlighting the devastating negative impacts of the violence on members of both communities, especially the Indigenous Thadou tribe and other Zo kindred tribes of Manipur, with no community being the winner in this unfortunate situation.
We share the pain and grief experienced by the community, particularly all the direct victims and their families, at this difficult time.
