"Thingnam is an ever blooming flower that never can fade"
22 June 2009
Dear All
The news of the brutal murder of Dr.Thingnam Kishan I received today. In fact our publishter from the worldview press, which has brought Kishan's Rethinking Colonialism told me on the phone. I didn't know how to respond.
He was my batch-mate in M Phil at Delhi University and I always was an elder brother to him.
Last time I met him in my own house in Delhi. We were planning for the publication of this dissertation.
Finally it came out- the one I had mentioned above. I helped him in this.
I never knew that Thingnam joined the civil service there in Manipur. Nobody told me about anything or even about what happened to him though there was a demonstration in Delhi, as I came to know.
The culprits behind his murder should be reall caught and they should be hanged. If possible publicly.
Thingnam is an ever blooming flower that never can fade. He is full of compassion, love and revolutionary fervour.
I salute him.
Let him be an example to all Manipuris and the youth in the rest of our India.
Dear THINGNAM, Adieu.
Condolence sent by apskup(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)in . This was webcasted on 24th June 2009.
