Condemnation Note

I am deeply shocked and pained to know that the two young tribal Kuki-Zo Vaiphei girls being stripped naked and paraded in the public street, molested by a mob allegedly belonging to the Meitei community on May 4th in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district.
I am ashamed to see that humanity has gone down to such an extent where women were used as objects in ethnic violence and mercilessly tortured, where no normal human being could ever think of committing such a heinous crime.
I am absolutely heartbroken, and I have no words to express such unimaginable beastly crimes against the innocent girls, and no words of condemnation can ever heal such horrifying crimes. I wonder what these two innocent girls and their families will be going through.
I and my NPF party vehemently condemned the incident in the strongest terms and call for the Central Government's immediate intervention without any delay or hesitation to give justice to the victims. We also call upon the Central Government to immediately restore peace in the troubled Manipur State once and for all.
The party also appreciated the Supreme Court of India for showing their utmost concern and asserting that it would intervene if the Government fails to take action by terming the incident a ‘gross constitutional violation’.
