Centre seeks NE proposals on skill development
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Sep 25 (NPN):
Union ministry of labour and employment has targeted the north eastern states to promote skill development where unemployment rate was higher than the national average despite high literacy rate but not producing employable qualifications and high rate of school drop outs from class V,VII and X.
In this regard, the union ministry of labour and employment has asked the north east states to come up with specific proposals and organise job melas within the next two to three months and make use of Skill Development Intensive Scheme (SDIS) through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
