Centre assures to stamp out racial discrimination
Nagaland Post | New Delhi, Feb 21 (Vis Comm)
Central government has assured that it would do everything to stamp out racial discrimination, an issue that got highlighted after the death of Nido Taniam, a 19-year-old student from Arunachal Pradesh. Every practical recommendation of the committee headed by retired IAS officer M P Bezbaruah would be implemented in the overall interests of Northeast community and protect it from any violence in any part of the country, asserted MHA Joint Secretary (North-East) Shambhu Singh in an exclusive interview to Vision Communications on Thursday.
MHA has already requested Police Commissioners of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and other cities where there was sizeable concentration of Northeast people to attend a meeting to be held in Delhi on February 25.
