Cease-Fire Monitoring Group meet: NSCN (I-M) asked to withdraw 'Azah' on Changki
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Jul 17 (NPN):
State government, through additional chief secretary and commissioner Nagaland, Banuo Z. Jamir has asked the NSCN (I-M) authorities to withdraw their ‘Azah’ on Changki village while chairman of the Cease-Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) Maj. Gen (retd) N. George proposed setting up of body of three eminent personalities acceptable to two groups in Changki to address the village imbroglio in the larger interest of all.
He also disclosed that threats letters issued to some individuals of Changki village by NSCN (I-M) were procured and handed over the CFMG members and which was also intimated the CFMC members. George asserted that “mediation” to take everybody along was always welcome but use of “force” or “threat of force” was not a way to “mediate”.
