We have to take proper care while selecting our career as it decides our future. Proper planning and proper counselling might help a student to choose a good career.
We need to have proper information about various opportunities before selecting any career. Most of the students completing their 10th standard are confused about deciding a right career path.
It’s difficult for a student to judge everything and hence the role of teachers and parents are very important. Students selecting science stream must be aware of whether they are good in subject like Maths or not. We should be careful and make proper planning while we select our stream for Class XI and beyond.

We have to look at our strengths and weaknesses and how we can capitalize on strengths and overcome our weaknesses. We have to look critically the external opportunities and threats in our chosen career field.
Strengths: they are positive aspects that can be very efficiently used to bring you the competitive advantage that you need i.e. your education, personal traits, networking success, your work experience, your technical knowledge in the field, specific skills such as communication, leadership and team work.
Weaknesses are the negative aspects of the internal environment. We must look at it and improve them.
Opportunities are the positive external aspects which we cannot control, but which can be taken as an advantage.
Threats are the bad side of the external environment, but even though its challenging to control them, but these can be you smoothen with proper planning.
Our aim in life or dream profession must be SMART. Now this is interesting as what this SMART mean? Well, SMART here is referred to Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely or Time Bound.
