CCNTHCO decides not to interfere in Nagaland polls

With all political parties geared up to contest the upcoming Nagaland Assembly elections slated for February 27, the Core Committee of Nagaland Tribal Hohos and Civil Organisations (CCNTHCO) that opposed the election, said that it will not use force to come in the way of any individual’s conscious decision to exercise his choice in the larger interest of the people.
Issuing a statement after the meeting, CCNTHCO, however, reminded the political parties that it is obligated to honour the January 29 declaration signed by 11 political parties in the presence of apex Naga tribe hohos amd civil society organisations not to issue tickets to any candidate to contest the upcoming election.
