TODAY -
Burning fire in my heart
Herojit Philem *
Anguish and pain of departing not in eyes
But in my crying heart
This moment brings hurt and it's slowly growing.
On this unwelcomed episode of life
Tears flooded the heart, not the eyes.
Why is shortish summer night not fleeting?
''O Charioteer of the natural lamp;
Have you forgotten your duty;
Or are you enjoying my wailing;
Or are you playing with the moon,
Who fails to console me tonight?''
Censure, I shall fling not over them
For temple's bell will chime in time
But the burning fire in my heart
Will remain flaming as darkness doesn't desert me.
