Buried Deep
Moirangthem Minakshi Devi *
One say" Your comfort was my care".
Others say " My love was your trust".
But , now they all stand and weep,
As we are being buried deep.
Both our hearts have stopped, neither one of them beat,
Side-by-side lay our motionless body from head to feet.
The tops are closing and no one can see us.
In the ground are, you me and us
Together our bodies lay mortal and cold.
But, it's the warmth of our love
That our tameless souls still hold.
Mine says "And I had my last breath with you"
Yours says," And I had my last breath with you".
While we are Being buried deep ,
Let's embrace each other for solemnity,
in our eternal sleep.
