Broken
Debina Sanasam *
Never knew it was the secret
That she kept hidden deep inside
Swirling like untamable waves
On a stormy unwavering horizon
Loss was the cause for her to smile
For a frozen heart she was gifted
Closing her soul to the open world
That showed her the real colours
Of the unfathomable reality
That haunts her like a nightmare
She wavers from her firm mind
Looking out into nothingness
Like the orange setting fire
That dips down into the blue water
She bows her head down
For she was
Broken.
